Chrysler has unveiled the refreshed 2027 Pacifica minivan, and the reaction hasn’t been entirely what the automaker might have hoped for. The redesigned front fascia features vertical LED headlights and an illuminated grille that critics say bears a striking resemblance to modern Kia vehicles. The comparison has sparked conversation across automotive circles, though whether that’s good or bad publicity remains to be seen.

The 2027 Pacifica represents the minivan’s second mid-cycle refresh since the model debuted nearly a decade ago. Available for order now, the updated Pacifica comes with a starting price of $43,490 for the base LX trim. Not all versions get the controversial new look, though—the entry-level model retains the previous generation’s styling.

Beyond the exterior changes drawing comparisons to Korean crossovers, Chrysler has made updates throughout the lineup. The refreshed Pacifica introduces upgraded interior options, expanded technology packages, and new standard features aimed at keeping America’s best-selling minivan competitive in a segment that saw sales jump 20 percent in 2025.

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica Design and Styling

The 2027 Pacifica receives its second facelift since the minivan’s 2017 debut, focusing primarily on front-end changes that include distinctive vertical LED headlamps and an illuminated grille on higher trims. The updates also bring new wheel designs and exterior paint colors to freshen the look of Chrysler’s best-selling minivan.

New Front End and Visual Changes

The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica features a bold new front fascia with upside-down L-shaped vertical LED projector headlamps that give the minivan a commanding presence. Select, Limited, and Pinnacle trims get an illuminated grille with a “piano keys” design that adds visual interest at night.

The front end represents a departure from the previous 2021 refresh. A new Chrysler wing badge appears at the rear of the vehicle, while the updated Chrysler wing logo adorns the front of higher trim levels.

The changes give the Chrysler minivan what the automaker calls a “commanding, modern stance”. While the overall silhouette remains familiar after nearly a decade, the front-end updates provide a fresh character to the aging design.

Comparisons to Kia and Segment Rivals

The vertical LED headlamps draw comparisons to the Kia Carnival, with the upside-down L-shaped lights bearing a resemblance to Kia’s minivan competitor. Some observers expected Chrysler to adopt styling cues from the Airflow concept instead, which would have provided a cleaner look more in line with the van’s shape.

The design choice puts the 2027 Pacifica in closer visual territory with its Korean rival. The similarities are particularly evident in the headlamp configuration and overall front-end treatment, marking a shift from Chrysler’s previous design direction.

Wheel Designs and Exterior Paint Options

The 2027 model year brings new wheel designs across the lineup to complement the updated exterior styling. These fresh wheel options provide additional visual differentiation between trim levels.

New exterior paint colors join the palette, giving buyers more choices to personalize their minivan. The combination of new wheels and paint options works alongside the front-end changes to modernize the Pacifica’s appearance without requiring extensive sheet metal modifications to the rest of the body.

Features, Trims, and Technology Highlights

The 2027 Pacifica brings notable updates across its interior materials, safety systems, and tech packaging. Pricing starts at $41,495 for the base LX trim and extends to $58,255 for the top-tier Pinnacle with AWD.

Interior Updates and Seating Configurations

Inside, the Pacifica continues to offer both seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations. The minivan’s signature Stow ‘n Go seating remains exclusive to the segment, allowing both second- and third-row seats to fold flat into the floor.

The Pinnacle trim introduces a new Blue Agave Nappa Leather interior as standard equipment. This top model also features Copper Alloy bezels throughout the cabin and seats with a new “Parquet” perforation pattern and Tungsten Patina piping. Dark Platinum Paint finishes the instrument panel deco trim, creating a more premium atmosphere.

All trims from Select and above now include an adjustable-height power liftgate as standard equipment. The Pacifica LX, which replaces the Chrysler Voyager nameplate, comes well-equipped with power sliding doors and heated seats and steering wheel despite being the entry-level option.

Safety Innovations and Driver Assistance

The enhanced Safety Sphere Package adds new capabilities for 2027. Turn Signal-activated Blind Spot View now displays the vehicle’s blind spot when the driver activates the turn signal, improving lane-change confidence.

ParkSense-based Camera Activation joins the package alongside carryover features like 360 Surround View and Front Park Assist with Stop. These technologies work together to increase driver visibility and situational awareness in tight parking situations and low-speed maneuvering.

Infotainment, Family Tech, and Connectivity

Chrysler has decoupled the Uconnect Theater package from the newly named Family Tech Group for 2027. This change allows families to select features that match their specific needs rather than bundling everything together.

Available features include Amazon Fire TV built-in for streaming entertainment, FamCAM interior camera monitoring to keep an eye on rear passengers, and premium audio systems. Additional power outlets and second- and third-row features can now be selected individually, giving buyers more control over their final configuration and price.

Trim Levels and Pricing

The 2027 Pacifica lineup consists of four trim levels with front-wheel drive standard on LX and available all-wheel drive on upper trims:

Trim FWD Price AWD Price
Pacifica LX $41,495 Not Available
Pacifica Select $44,545 $47,890
Limited $49,705 $53,050
Pinnacle $54,910 $58,255

All prices exclude destination charges, taxes, titles, and fees. The refreshed models are scheduled to arrive at dealerships this summer, with ordering already open as of March 9, 2026.
