“Is that dead? Don’t tell me that’s dead, bro.” The rider says it from the saddle of a loaded adventure bike, rolling along a sunny two lane road with a camera on his helmet. Seconds later he is crouched on the gravel shoulder, tipping a plastic water bottle toward a small brown puppy. “Where’s your mom?” he asks it. “You’re such a cute little one, aren’t you?”

The short clip was posted on TikTok by @user6912097670321, a numbered account that edits it with bold captions and credits the footage in the post caption: “Cred: @Evros Glijin.” That credited creator’s own account could not be found on TikTok or Instagram under that name, so the clip is embedded here as it was shared.

The rider’s problem is plain from his own words. “I can’t take this dog with me now, man,” he says. “I got four hour ride, buddy.” Then he changes his mind out loud: “My god. Now I have a dog. Now I got another responsibility.” He looks the puppy over and adds, “It’s only just a baby. Must be dehydrated, this dog.”

Packing a Puppy on a Touring Bike

The frames show what he is working with. His bike is loaded with soft bags, a teal side case and red straps across the tail, and he is wearing a modular helmet, a gray T shirt and a backpack. Standing beside the bike, he says: “Two hours and 46 minutes to go, buddy.” He also sizes up his new passenger. “This dog is gonna be big, bro. I don’t know what I’m gonna do.”

His last spoken line in the clip sets the plan: “I really need to get this dog to the doctor, man.” The edit’s caption reads “Takes pup along,” and a frame at that moment shows the puppy’s head poking out of a bag at the front of his gear as he heads back onto the road.

The Tunnel

The final seconds switch to a dark tunnel lit by overhead lights. The account’s overlays read “Can’t find pup,” then “Looks again,” then “Pup jumped out,” with a laughing face. The rider is shown twisting to look down at his gear, and the clip ends there. It does not show where the puppy went or whether it made it to a vet, so that part of the story is not in this video.

What to Do If You Find a Puppy on the Side of the Road

Secure it before you ride. A puppy loose on a motorcycle can wriggle free, which is exactly what the overlays in this clip say happened in the tunnel. Use a zipped bag with an opening for the head, strapped to the bike or to your chest, and check it at every stop.

Ask the vet to scan it for a microchip when you arrive.
