Hagerty is valuing the 1968-70 Dodge Charger at $91,450 in its 2026 Bull Market List. This is the second-generation Charger, the fastback body style that turned the model from a mid-pack Mopar into an American icon almost overnight. Roughly 40,000 Chargers were built in high-performance R/T specification.

The Body That Made the Charger a Legend

Hagerty’s release points to the top of the range as the real draw, explaining that R/T buyers “could be optioned with the meanest engine available: the 425-hp, 426-cubic-inch Hemi V-8.”

Younger Buyers Are Keeping This Muscle Car Segment Alive

Hagerty’s data states that 52 percent of owners are Gen Xers and younger, meaning more than half the people currently keeping a 1968-70 Charger in their garage weren’t even alive when the car was new.

Why This Segment Is Climbing While Others Soften

Hagerty’s data comes from analyzing millions of data points covering public auction results, private sales insights, insurance data, and buyer and seller behavior.

The Bottom Line

A $91,450 valuation puts a genuine 1968-70 Charger out of impulse-buy territory for most people, but Hagerty’s data suggests that price still has room to run.
