Barrett-Jackson’s collector car auction returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall for three days starting September 10, with a docket that ranges from a Queen Elizabeth II parade car to a lineup of Ferraris crossing the block with no reserve.
The Docket: What’s Actually Crossing the Block
The headline lot is a 1951 Cadillac Series 62 Royal Parade Convertible, a one-off General Motors build used as a ceremonial parade vehicle for then-Princess Elizabeth before her 1952 accession to the throne, according to Old Cars Weekly’s preview of the sale, which still runs its original V-8 and four-speed Hydramatic automatic. Alongside it sits a heavily customized 1962 Chevrolet Corvette convertible built on an Art Morrison GT Sport chassis with an LS3 stroker engine and six-speed manual, plus a numbers-matching 1963 Corvette 327/360 Split-Window Fuelie restored by noted builder Boyd Coddington — one of just 3,516 built in Sebring Silver that year.
European metal is well represented too: a 1996 Ferrari F355 fitted with custom GT race-inspired modifications and a naturally aspirated 2007 Ferrari F430 F1 Spider making 483 horsepower are both consigned, alongside a restored 1966 Ford Mustang fastback running a Coyote V-8 crate motor. The auction runs from a Wednesday opening reception through the main sale days of September 10-12.
How This Event Has Performed Before
Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas stop is younger and smaller than its flagship Scottsdale week, and recent totals show real swing year to year. The company’s June 2023 Las Vegas sale brought in $30.8 million across 496 vehicles and 264 pieces of automobilia, topped by a charity 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 that sold for $700,000, according to Old Cars Weekly’s recap of that sale, and raised $865,000 for charity. That’s down from the company’s 2022 Las Vegas event, which pulled in $48 million across 663 vehicles that July, led by a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird that brought $1.65 million.
Key Points
- 2026 Las Vegas auction runs September 10-12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall.
- Headline consignment: a 1951 Cadillac Royal Parade Convertible built for then-Princess Elizabeth II.
- Notable Corvettes, a Boyd Coddington restoration, and two Ferraris (a 1996 F355 and 2007 F430 Spider) are also crossing the block.
- Barrett-Jackson’s prior Las Vegas sales have ranged widely: $48 million in 2022 versus $30.8 million in 2023.
The swing between Barrett-Jackson’s own past Las Vegas totals — nearly $50 million one year, roughly $30 million another — says as much about the collector market’s mood as any single car does, and this week’s sale will be the first real read on where that needle sits heading into the fall auction season.
