The final Toyota GR Supra MkV ever built, carrying a commemorative VIN ending in 99999, will not go to a dealership or a paying customer at all. Toyota is donating it to a charity auction at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale 2027 sale, according to Toyota’s own USA Newsroom announcement, closing out the BMW-partnered MkV generation on a note built entirely around giving the car away rather than selling it.

What Makes This Specific Car Different

This isn’t just the last one off the line with a special badge. According to Toyota’s release, the final GR Supra MkV Final Edition carries the GT4 Style Pack with a matte finish and red trim, a one-of-one Phantom Gray paint job, a carbon fiber ducktail rear spoiler, and suspension tuning with larger Brembo brake discs beyond what’s fitted to a standard GT4 pack. Power comes from the familiar 382-horsepower inline-six paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and the interior gets leather and Alcantara trim with red stitching. Buyers of the broader Final Edition run also get a complimentary one-year NASA membership including a High Performance Driving Event, though this particular car isn’t headed to a buyer at all — it’s headed to auction. The car is also signed by Akio “Morizo” Toyoda, Toyota’s former CEO and the executive most publicly associated with the modern Supra’s revival.

Key Points

  • VIN 99999 marks the literal final production unit of the GR Supra MkV generation, the model built in partnership with BMW.
  • The car goes to auction at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale sale, January 23-31, 2027, at WestWorld of Scottsdale, Arizona, with a preview planned at Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction September 10-12, 2026.
  • Proceeds benefit Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW), the disaster-relief nonprofit founded in 2010 by the late actor Paul Walker.
  • The very first MkV Supra sold at Barrett-Jackson in 2019 for $2.1 million benefiting the Bob Woodruff Foundation — organizers are aiming to top that figure with this final car.

Closing the Loop on the BMW-Era Supra

The GR Supra MkV’s entire production run has been bookended by charity, and Toyota appears to have built that framing deliberately: the first car built raised money for a veterans’ charity, and now the last car built is raising money for disaster relief. ROWW CEO Cody Walker said in a joint statement with the announcement that the organization is “so grateful to Toyota for donating the final MkV GR Supra to ROWW, which will hopefully break the previous MkV sales record,” while Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson said the auction house is “fully prepared to rally the collector car community this January to challenge that previous record.”

The MkV Supra’s production run leaned on BMW’s Z4 platform and inline-six engine architecture from the start, a collaboration that drew criticism from some purists but ultimately kept the nameplate alive after nearly two decades off the market following the A80 generation. With VIN 99999 heading to a nonprofit rather than a driveway, that chapter of the Supra story closes with the same charitable framing it opened with — and collectors now have a firm date on the calendar to see whether it breaks the $2.1 million mark.
